Located on a 2 acre campus, in the proximity of residential localities and IT parks in the North East part of Bangalore city, FloMont is a unique authentic Montessori K12 school, based on the latest research in Brain Based Learning (BBL) and the developmental theory of Strengths Education.
Founded in 2015, we follow the Montessori Method of education well into our elementary years and offer the Cambridge Board (IGCSE) programs for our middle and high school children.
We believe that every child is a unique learner who possesses innate strengths. These strengths manifest themselves as natural talents in leadership, communication & oration, problem solving, negotiations, creativity, input and innovation. Given the right opportunities these strengths can be enhanced to allow our children to define their place in the community and excel as individuals.
Brain Based learning ensures that all learning styles are accommodated in our teaching approaches and children are given opportunities to explore concepts in a manner that best appeals to their curiosity. This is done to ensure a strong foundational understanding and academic progress whilst ensuring individualized attention inside our classrooms.
FloMont, is the brainchild of Ms. Shahista Ismail, a passionate dual certified Montessorian as well as an alumnus of the IIMB NSRCEL 10K program. Ms. Shahista is also a doctorate research scholar in the area of educational pedagogy, with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. She has a Masters in Montessori education from Sarasota University, USA, which is her alma mater. Ms.Shahista has worked with many international schools and advised on teacher development,curriculum framework and implementation of teaching practices based on latest research. Her vision for the school is to provide a community and an environment that is focused on nurturing the innate strength in each child.
As a new age school, we pride ourselves of a vibrant community of children, parents, staff, alumni and well-wishers.
